So as I predicted along with many, the Huskies are national champions. However, this was a way closer game than anyone expected. Way under the 35 I threw out there earlier.

This win brings up the question: when is Geno Auriemma going to make the move to men's? Is it inevitable? Not necessarily. Pat Summit is the greatest women's basketball coach in NCAA history, and she's stayed at Tennessee all these years.

And that ends another year of college basketball. It's been a season filled with surprises as it is every year. UCONN were the clear favorites to win it all, but not Duke.

On Selection Sunday, many were complaining that Duke didn't deserve a number one seed over West Virginia.

Next year should be a lot different. In men's basketball, North Carolina has a strong recruiting class coming in and will definitely be a force to be reckoned with. The tournament may be expanded to 96 teams. Coaches will switch to bigger schools. Others will be fired. If Greg Monroe returns to Georgetown, they have to be considered the favorite to win it all going into the season.

AU has a strong class coming in next year as well. They should definitely eclipse the eight win mark they had this season.

As for the women's game, we all know who the favorite is. You know, that team that hasn't lost since two seasons ago. The last time UCONN lost, Tiger was a golden boy, Manny was a future Hall of Famer, and the Jersey Shore was known by most Americans as a vacation place.

It's been a great year for college basketball. I know it will never happen, but the BCS should take notes. Have some kind of tournament. Give us something. There is a reason March Madness is the greatest sporting event in the world.

What?

20-12 after the first half. How does that even happen? That's a football score.

This One Should Be Exciting

The women's final should be real great. Honestly, over/under: 35 point victory for UCONN?

What A Tournament

Well it's over. Duke is the men's basketball champion for the fourth time in school history. The team that everyone who is not a Duke fan hates can be hated a little more. Congrats guys.

And congrats to Butler. They may not have been a Cinderella story, as I've pointed out in other posts, but I understand why people were making them out to be. After all, the school is smaller than AU. Can you imagine if AU's men's basketball team were in the final of the NCAA Tournament? There wouldn't be any classes. It would be worse than "Snowpocalypse".

What a great way to end the season. I really thought that last shot by Gordon Hayward was going in.

What made this experience even better was that I missed "One Shining Moment".

Lastly, congratulations to the UCONN women's basketball team for their championship win as well. Yes, I'm aware the game hasn't been played yet but there is zero chance they'll lose. It can't happen. It won't happen. I'm so certain that I promise if UCONN loses, I'll do some so dumb, so unheard of, people will think I'm nuts. Like go to a Wizards, Nets game...wait a sec.

Anyone's game

Butler down one at the half. Should be an exciting finish

Game Time

Game's about to start. I'll post periodically throughout.

Let's play aleady

I'm tired of the hype. I can't wait until the game actually starts.
